y It is July now and for a change we are having marvellous weather this summer; however this is time to think what are we going to wear this autumn/ winter. And as much as I hate cold weather and short, gloomy winter days I absolutely love new fashion trends for autumn/winter 2010/2011.
This year fashion is going to be so sexy with knee high boots, soft leather pieces, fur, lace and RED colour that’s on almost every catwalk this season.
I just love simple and symmetric lines, perfect tailoring, feminine pieces combined with military or masculine elements.
Designers are using simple tailoring and minimalism to emphasize the luxury of the fabrics.
Fur is everywhere this season not only used in coats and jackets. Karl Lagerfeld has created complete fur outfits. At Kenzo we can see shopping bags and body warmers covered in fur. Most fashion used synthetic fur, like Chanel, to create their collections.
Lace will be a big this fall-winter. We can see it in feminine Givenchy tops or Dolce & Gabbana, Paul& Joe and other collections.
Leather can be seen at Hermès, DNKY, Diesel Black, DSquared2, Bottega Veneta, Dior, Céline, Balmain. Trench coats, leather trousers, leather jackets or even a whole leather-look. Luxury soft leather is one of the key elements for the next season.
Femininity is present in most collections for example Dior with airy fabrics, sheer materials with chic fur and leather details. I love Burberry collection with its light fur-coats, skirts that narrow down to knees, pleated dresses and lacy blouses.
Military trend is still present in many collections with trench coats and military jackets . The classic Burberry look was replaced by a more grunge one for fall/winter season. Thigh-high boots, coats and military jackets in surprising colors such as electric blue and green.collections with trench coats and military jackets .The classic Burberry look was replaced by a more grunge one for fall/winter season.
